Invented new Way of Wakeboarding for Quadriplegics on the Lake of Garda in Italy

On the second day in Italy there was not enough wind to go kitesurfing. But that was one of the best things that could have happened. I nonetheless wanted to get used to my board and so we decided to go out anyway.

For me it was important to find out how it will feel like if I'm lying in the water and still being pulled by the kite. So, I asked the guys on the boat to simulate that by setting the boat in motion. I immediately realized that I would be able to get out of the water like this and asked the captain to even accelerate more.

It worked and that is how I found a possibility to wakeboard as a quadriplegic. Because most quadriplegic like myself don't have enough finger function to hold on to a handle and therefore cannot enjoy this wonderful sport. Now we can!
